Ipad Uses

If you are a techie, then chances are you know what an iPad features. If you've seen people with iPads, then you've probably seen that it can let you play games and all sorts of entertainment. If you have only a vague idea of what an iPad offers and why you might want one, read on.

People describe an iPad as something between an iPhone and a netbook. Smaller and lighter than a netbook, the iPad can be used to browse the internet, receive and send emails, watch movies, listen to music and much more. It has a large touch screen that is so much more user-friendly than the one featured in an iPhone.

The iPad2 has plenty of additional features that aren't found in the first version. It comes with two cameras already. Face Time offers video calling with VOIP, although the iPad is not strictly a phone. The newer version can now print over WiFi, which the first one could not.

Multitasking is another new feature in the iPad2. The iPad1 couldn't multitask. You can also connect to the internet using WiFi or 3G. Cables are unnecessary. Bluetooth is already built in to all iPads.

There are built-in applications in the iPad. These are Mail, Safari, Calendar, Contacts, Notes, YouTube, Maps, iTunes, iPod, and many more. You can get so many other apps in the Apple Store.

If you're always on the go, then the iPad is just right for you because it's lighter and thinner than netbooks. The iPad is ideal for surfing the web, checking email, reading books, playing games and watching movies. Apps like Pages and Numbers allow iPad users to create documents and spreadsheets, and there are thousands of specialised apps available.

You can also use the iPad like a desktop if you buy a physical keyboard since it comes with a stand for the iPad and a charging dock. You might prefer a physical keyboard if you have to type a lot, even if the gadget features a touch screen.

There is more to the iPad than most people think. It is a very useful gadget for people who have to use a computer while they are on the go. Businessmen may not appreciate the games and entertainment features, but kids do love them.
